Tammi is a gospel recording artist, songwriter, worship leader, passionate speaker, and a down-to-earth friend. She is from Tennessee but currently resides in Dekalb, IL. She developed a relationship with Jesus at a young age and has been falling deeper and deeper in love with Him ever since. Tammi began singing and playing piano as a child and has always had a profound love of music. She has a degree in Christian Education from Lee University as well as a Master's of Arts in Teaching from Carson-Newman University. She teaches 4-8 grade math at Aurora Christian School Cornerstone Campus in Sycamore, IL. In addition to teaching, Tammi serves as the Community Life and Worship Pastor at Cathedral of Praise Church in Dekalb.
Tammi (aka “the hope lady”) is driven by the desire to see men and women with their hearts alive and full of hope. After battling many years of depression, fear, disappointment, and rejection, Tammi has made it her mission to live life to its fullest while inviting others to join her on the journey! Instead of echoing the sentiments of doubt and unbelief that attempt to convince us not to get our hopes up, Tammi is shouting just the opposite. In the face of lack, disappointment, abandonment, and loss...she is living with her hopes all the way up! She has an ability to appeal to all ages and holds a special place in her heart for youth. Over the past 25 years, Tammi has been exposed to various cultures and because of this has had the privilege to sing and speak in many diverse venues. Her ability to cross social, cultural, and denominational barriers is an intricate part of her calling. Her heart is to create an atmosphere where freedom and deliverance can occur. She has an undeniable desire to see marriages restored, men and women walking in purpose, and believers encountering grace at a deeper level. She will declare hope through worship and the Word. She has a knack for delivering truth mixed with a little laughter. She’s not afraid to be real even if it’s uncomfortable.
In 2013 a door was opened for her to record and release her debut solo album Say It Loud. The album has a gospel worship flavor unique to her diverse background. Many of the songs were birthed during a season where her world was shaken. It was during this time that Tammi began to question everything that she believed. She found herself asking questions like is God who He says He is, can I trust him, is His plan for me good, and does He really love me? Through this struggle she found unwavering resolve that God is not only who He says He is but He is greater than she ever dreamed possible.
Tammi released her sophomore solo album, Restored Live in 2018. The album was recorded live at The Connection Church in Morristown, TN. This project is jam-packed with some of Tammi’s most encouraging songs yet! From Say Yes to Let Love Win, this album allows the listener to experience the presence of a HOPE-filled God! The title track, Restored, is a powerful ballad that speaks directly to the hearts of so many! Tammi’s personal testimony fuels her desire to invite everyone to GET YOUR HOPES UP!!!!!
